German Open 2008 2008-09-05
After three tasks at the German Open in Altes Lager (60 km south of Berlin), Primoz Gricar became a German Champion in rigid class again. Primoz was flying an Aeros Phantom.
  Primoz Gricar writes:
Very interesting was the second task. We had 118 km one way .It was a clear racing weather, with not high cloud base up to 1650m and strong thermals sometimes over 4m/s. After choosing a good cloud street, I was able to finish the task in 1:25 hours on my Phantom, which gave the average speed of 81 kph.

Results in Rigid Class:

1. Primoz Gricar.............Aeros Phantom
2. Toni Raumauf............Atos VR
3. Dirk Ripkens..............Atos VR

In flex competition Hans Kiefinger was flying extremely good, dominating every task. Unfortunately he scored zero on the first day for violating the restricted airspace.

Results:
- 1. Roland Woehrle..........Litespeed S
- 2. Oli Barthelmes...........Litespeed S
- 3. Hans Kiefinger............Combat L

Congratulations to the winners!!
