POLAR DATA OF AEROS WINGS

Due to the favorable weather conditions the AEROS pilots have accomplished a number
of flights to estimate actual polar data for some serial hang gliders.
We would like to notify that the data can be used in navigation tools to calculate
if there is enough altitude for making goal, but the maximal glide ratio estimation,
based on it, may not be actual as it can vary depending on harness configurations,
glider performance tuning and the air parameters.

temperature at the ground – 12oC, VG on, maximal glide ratio – 16,7, minimal sink rate – 0.8 m/s.

Discus 15, all-up pilot weight – 100 kg, harness – Aeros Racer,
temperature at the ground – 12oC, VG on, maximal glide ratio – 11,9, minimal sink rate – 1 m/s.
